*5 Challenges ( P’s ) faced by a Dentist*!!
As a dentist, for around two decades I have faced and overcome many challenges. There are wonderful stories associated with these phases of my professional life.
1. *PRESENTATION*
Turns out, that presentation is a whole spiel of things than just showing up clean.
Help from some fashion savvy friends and a bit of common sense helped me overcome the Presentation challenge.
I started turning up at my clinic looking dapper, feeling professional and being more confident in my interactions with my clients.
2. *PATTERN*
Once inside the clinic the interaction between me and my clients was something that I felt I could definitely work on.
What if the way I was helping them understand the reason for their discomfort, the treatment to heal it and the regular care they should take was given to them in such a way that they could easily assimilate it?
3. *POSITIONING*
It is said that body language sends across subconscious messages to people sitting in front of you and that is what people use as a gut feeling to decide if they want to trust you, your facility and your treatment.
4 *PASSION*
Having a steady energy throughout each consultation helps the client feel safer in your hands, the energy shouldn’t be too over the top but just enough to keep the clients attention..
5. *PITCH*
What seals the deal is how effectively you put forth the best treatment plan for your patient, without making it sound like you’re selling the treatment to them is what the magic lies in.
The moment of realizing that these were my challenges was actually the turning point of my career as a Dentist. Self realization, is like winning half the battle.
Do you face these kind of challenges as well ?
